Fate Vs. Free Will

This question is impossible. I don't have enough informations to answer it, no one does. My future is a complete mystery to me. I could plan out for hours where I'd like to live, what I'd like to do, and any other aspect of adulthood, but what difference does that make? What college I go to could effect what job I have in ten years, but what about in 20 years, or 50 years? I could be doing any number of things in 50 years completely unrelated to the job I hold at age 27. The point I'm trying to make is that life isn't simply point A to point B. Sure we're born and we die, but that doesn't necessarily mean theres a start and an end. Even our death's were "the end", Oedipus's fate didn't fall into place when he died, it was much before that. I'll never know if my decisions truly affect my future, because I'll never know whats going to happen tomorrow. I cant say whether I'll end up in the same place in the end despite the decisions I make or not, because there is no end. I'd like to think that if I work hard and not lie in bed 24/7 I'll one day become successful. This would suggest I believe in free will. Yet, at the same time I think that wherever I'm meant to be I'll find my way there, which would imply I believe in fate. In the words of Kurt Vonnegut, “there is no beginning, no middle, no end, no suspense, no moral, no causes, no effects."
